I've never understood the thing with New Year's resolutions. It mostly seems to me that people use the new number as a prompt to make a token gesture, talking about things they mean to change and usually never following through on them. I mean, if you really wanted to change something or learn something new or whatever, why bother waiting for the new year? It's just a number; it doesn't mean things actually magically reset or something.
This year, though, it feels different to me. Not exactly because of the new year itself, but that is part of it, I think. A lot of things that have been kind of pressing down on me during the past year are being dealt with, and though this process started several months ago, now the new year stretches out before me with the promise that things are going to get better. So, not exactly doing the resolution thing, but for the first time, I'm seeing the new year as a symbol of hope. It's kind of nice.
Aaaand, that's enough of that.
Xmas in general was good times. Seeing the family and playing silly games and just generally having fun. And, it's weird, but I feel like I am really starting to connect again with my dad, after so many years of us pretty much having mutual apathy for each other. I was lame and forgot my camera, though, so I can't show any pictures of the puppy, who must be part brontosaurus or something. Seriously, he's huge. Twice the size of his brothers and sisters, I swear. Really stocky, beginning to lose his little puppy pudge. And spoiled, omg. It seems my parents have dealt with all the kids moving out by deciding Tucker shall be their beloved fifth child.
I am slowly making my way back through the week or so of friends entries that I completely missed, so don't be surprised if you randomly get a comment from me on an ancient post.
P.S. Spammers, leave me alone, PLZ. I am perfectly satisfied with my current penis size.
