I finished my secret santa fic. The flashfic, is, uh...being worked on. I actually have a pretty good idea of what I want to write, it's just the actual writing that's being tricksy. I'm going to let it percolate in my brain for a few more days before attempting to write it again. I've still got like a week and a half, so am not really stressing over it yet. ( Ask me if I still feel like this on Monday.)
I'm sort of late on this, but thank you to all of you who've sent me cards. I've got the "online friends" ones taped up on the archway to my computer alcove, and I'm almost out of room. D'aawww. You all make me feel so loved. ♥
Maybe this is just me, but I always get paranoid that mail I've sent out won't make it to where it's supposed to end up. So just to let you know they've arrived safely, so far I have ones from reiku, del_kaidin, rhye, the_firefly, ariyanaforever, paynesgrey, vespurtine, numisma, hallowd, and lalieth. Once again, thanks!
The new upstairs neighbors have a dog. A little yappy one, I knew, because sometimes I hear it crying & barking when they are not home. Tonight when I came home from work, I walked up to the front of the house to get my mail (my entrance is in the back), and heard growling as I got near the front walk. The doggy was tied up outside. A chihuahua. In 10º F weather. He growled at me and ran as far away from me as he could (seeing as how the snow is like 2-3 feet deep, he basically had to stick to the sidewalk), while I went up the steps to get my mail. I dunno. I had no way to know how long he'd been out there, but I thought I'd err on the side of caution and remind them about him before he turned into a Dogsicle. After I knocked, the girl said she was just on her way to bring him back in, but...eh. I'm still glad I tried.
